If it looks familiar at all it's because the casino scene in the James Bond movie, "For Your Eyes Only" was filmed here.

In front of each pillar was a statue of a muse.

We stared at this but couldn't tell what was going on.

"The Triumph of Achilles" by Franz von Matsch. Achilles is seen dragging Hector's lifeless body in front of the Gates of Troy. It was at the top of the main staircase.

Still going down the stairs. A big mirror.
