The little island in the center of the photo is believed to be the Scheria, the ship that took Odysseus back to Ithaca, but was turned to stone by Poseidon, to punish the Phaiakians for helping his enemy.

The beach looked like fun.

Our stop was the Monastery Paleokastritsa.

It was founded in the 13th century but almost everything is newer than 200 years old.

It was beautiful!
