2013 Big Adventure
Kusadasi - P.48
I'm fascinated by these ancient mosaic floors. The tiles are so small. I can't imagine completing even one square foot and the ones we saw were so big! |
This picture shows that Bill caught up with our tour group. Most of the time he keeps us in his sights and tries not to lose us. I'm always with the tour group and I try to make sure we don't leave without him. |
I think these were stores. |

The Temple of Hadrian. It was built before 138 A.D. and was dedicated to the Emperor Hadrian who came to visit the city from Athens in 128 A.D. |
A relief of Medusa. |
The reliefs depict the story of Ephesus. |
|
Our tour had the added bonus of going to see the Terrace Houses! |
These were houses of the rich. There were 6 houses underneath a protected roof. |
The roof was made out of a special, breathable material that kept the temperature right for the ruins. |
