Ana, our tour guide told us about some of the plants as we were walking in to Trsteno. The arboretum is set on 70 acres and has many exotic plants. It was built by the local noble family Gozze in the late 15th century, who requested ship captains to bring back seeds and plants from their travels.

While we were there, Game of Thrones was filming at Trsteno. Our guide was very confused that the film crew added fake flowers to the outside of the villa. She thought it had plenty of flowers.

Trsteno was a cat place!
