Italy Trip
Tuscany P.55
There were vendors everywhere. The Ponte Vecchio mostly had jewelry stores. |
Still walking. |
The Arno River. |
A view from in-between the two wings of the Uffizi's galleries. |
The courtyard in the center of the Uffizi. |
We finally got to the office where we were supposed to get our tickets. We were super late but we thought we'd try anyway. At the very worst we'd have to stand in line as if we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they let us in! |
There were no signs that pictures weren't allowed. Bill took this picture before they told him to cut it out. |
When we got about halfway through the museum we stopped to have lunch. The outside dining area was really close to the Palazzo Vecchio. |
Some of the birds were pretty aggressive. This one barely cared that I was trying to defend my sandwich. |
This is about as far as he'd go when I'd swat at him. Just the chair next to me. |
The statues in the piazza in front of the Uffizi. |
The piazza is where the statue of David used to stand. The statue was moved to the Academia museum. This is a replica that was put in it's place. |
