Us at the Parthenon!!! |
|
All of this stuff was stacked next to the Parthenon. This must have been the restoration office. |
|
The Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus is a major open-air theatre and one of the earliest preserved in Athens. It was used for festivals in honor of the god Dionysus. It could seat up to 17,000 spectators. |
Not sure what the canon was from. It was on the side of the Parthenon and the mobile office. |
We guessed these tracks were built to move pieces of marble. They looked pretty old. |
You can see just how big that one piece is. |
The side of the Erechtheion (The building with the Porch of the Maidens). |
