2013 Big Adventure

Kusadasi - P.54

Ephesus Theater Marble road

Lots of columns along the street. They think this street not only had street lamps but maybe have been covered. There's a BIG nest on top of this column.

We finally made it to lunch! It was cool we were eating lunch at the site.

Lunch was good. Again, a traditional Greek lunch.

After lunch we walked all the way back down the marble road.

The stadium was used for ceremonies and sports. During the 3rd and 4th centuries it was also used for gladiator and wild animal fights. It was also later used to throw Christians to the lions. After Christianity became popular and the official religion of the Romans they stopped and built the Persecution Gate as a memorial.

After lunch and some shots of the stadium, it was time to leave.

Carpet factory Kusadasi

They took us to a rug factory. Our tour in Egypt did the same thing only this time it was all hard sell. They didn't show us how they made the rugs or anything, just buy them.

The rugs were beautiful. We just didn't have anywhere to put them and they were pricey.

After the rug factory they said we had to find our own way back to the ship. We could see the ship, just not how to get over there.

We had to walk that way, through the shops, of course.
