Day 7: Good morning selfie!

As usual, we met and were assigned a number (today we were brown 7 group) and we waited to depart the ship.

There were costumed dancers on the dock today!

Our guide told us about some of the history of Turkey she talked about the border with Syria and Iran and she said we had now visited Asia Minor.

We thought it was cool they had a water park.

As we were driving our guide pointed to this post and said this is all that's left of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.

They slowed down so we could take a photo. The post hardly seems like it counts but now we've seen two Ancient Wonders of the World.

Our first destination: the Basilica of St. John.

The Basilica stands over the believed burial site of the Apostle St. John.
