When the second lion came over to help, one jackal stayed to keep irritating them while the other went and grabbed part of what the lions were eating and ran off.

Now the lions were pissed. They went to see what was missing.

And started going after the first jackal.

Which left the second jackal open to grab the rest of what the lions were eating. They're little geniuses! The lions walked off but I don't think they followed them for long. The jackals were fast.

After that show, we moved on. The warthogs always made me laugh. Their tails stuck straight up when they were startled.

Around the corner we found a male lion walking toward us. We figured this is the lion the females heard earlier.

He looked just liked a big house cat. He stopped to scratch his neck on a bush.

After he laid down...

...an older buddy joined him.
