For the next part of the tour, we had to walk about a block.

We passed this elephant and obelisk on the way.

The base of the obelisk Macuteo. It's one of 14 ancient Egyptian obelisks in Rome.

Walking around the side of the Pantheon.

The front of the Pantheon. It's the oldest important building in the world with its original roof intact.  It has been in continuous use since it was built and is now the Church of Mary and all the Martyr Saints.

The columns and roof at the entrance. The exposed beams used to be covered with bronze.

The ceiling was beautiful! The hole in the middle lets in the only light.

The walls were covered with beautiful paintings.
