"M" On the mountain! |

We were driving through Montpelier, ID and saw this bear statue so we had to stop. |
We were really surprised that it was a memorial to Old Ephraim. It's not on any of our roadside attraction websites. |
Old Ephraim was the last grizzly bear in Utah. He lived from about 1911 to August 1923. Also known as "Old Three Toes" because of a deformity on one foot. This made it easy to track him. He weighed 1,110 pounds. He stood around 10 feet tall. There is more than one memorial to him. |
We saw so many Arctic Circles around we had to try one. |
And a huckleberry sake. It was good! |
We stopped in Jackson Hole, WY. We stayed at the Teton Mountain Lodge. |
We were upgraded to a GIANT 2-bedroom suite. |
It was bigger than all of the apartments I've lived in. |
It could easily sleep 6 people. We walked around feeling guilty we had all of that extra space. |
The door had an electronic lock and it lead to a small hallway that we shared with our next door neighbor. That hallway also had an electronic lock on it. |
