We really liked the ceiling. |
The Knight's Room. The walls were painted between 1852 and 1862. |
On the chimney are two armor-clad knights present the armorial bearings of Count Louis and his wife Claude de Seyssel. |
The wall paintings covered a frieze bearing the arms of the bailiffs of Fribourg. |
They cut this part of the wall so you can see the old frieze underneath. |
The crane, symbol of Gruyeres. |

The sun dials dated 1559 were placed there before the building of the roof. |
