We stayed at the Hostellerie Des Chevaliers.

It was nice. We had an extra bed over there to put stuff on.

When we went to bed that night we had the window open. It was quiet except for the faint cowbells in the distance. Then what sounded to us like a pained cry of a cow broke the silence. We were sure a cow was tangled in a fence or hurt. It sounded so pained. It cried a few more times before we fell asleep. It wasn't until the morning that we found out what it was. Day 18: Beautiful sunrise out our window!

And we discovered, happily, that it was not a hurt cow that was making all the noise. It was a stag. We're not hunters, we had no idea.

We didn't get a good picture of them this day but it was a big herd of deer.
