A few more monkeys came.

Then a couple of things happened all at the same time. Some monkeys at the back of the car reared up and challenged Paul in a threatening way...

...and some other moneys started chasing Beth, who had saved food from lunch.

While Beth was running you can see Bill, Rootie and Mike were hilariously taking pictures.

Beth didn't think that was funny at all but she wasn't going to give them her food and if she stopped, those monkeys were going to jump on her.

Finally, Paul thought to throw a bottle of water at them and I found the stick Njano threw at them earlier and the monkeys scattered.

The monkeys didn't go far, they just backed off and waited to see if we'd let our guard down. We did not look at these monkeys the same again. They went from cute to scary in a second.
