Sacred Heart of Jesus

The monument devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on top of Cerro del Socorro. The materials were transported up there by donkeys in the mid 20th century.

Walking back

The Mangana tower from the other side. We're walking back towards the square.

Mangana Tower

The Mangana Tower dates back to 1565. It's been rebuilt many times. It's current look dates from 1968. There was construction all around it when we were there.

Convent of Las Carmelitas

The convent is located at the highest point in the city. It was quite a walk to get there. We definitely went the wrong way.

Cool door.

We were looking for a certain part of town and, of course, we forgot our map so we took a shot and went left. If nothing else we saw some very cool buildings.

You could tell Judas easily. His back was turned and he had a small bag of silver coins.

Up above us there were angels!

Float

I think this is a float of the last supper. It was really incredible how all of the figures looked. You could really tell who each of the Apostles were.
