This car is so long! I think it's even longer than a pickup truck. I can't imagine driving it. It's longer than two of my cars end-to-end. I don't think I noticed the gold extras when we were there. The gold Cadillac on the grill, the gold rims and the gold Cadillac logo. I'm sure that was expensive!
Elvis bought it in 1956. It was white and he had it custom painted to purple. He traded it in in 1957. and a fan bought it. The restoration on this car started in 1976!
That was the end of the house tour. We jumped back on the bus and went across the street to the new complex.
Love it!
I totally forgot Hollywood had props in their casinos. This one is on-theme for our trip!
We got to Tunica, MS around dinner time. Our first stop was the Hollywood Casino.
As usual, we didn't leave as early as we would have liked but we're not really in a hurry. Here we go!
Just like our tour guide said, we had to duck out of the way when veiled ladies tried to put necklaces on us. We also were walking in the street, just like everyone else so we had to watch out for cars and mopeds. A nice old woman was walking next to me for a while until she stuck her hand out, looking for money. She walked with us for a while until she got the hint.
For the first part of our trip we drove 728.8 km or 452.9 miles.
We’d never seen a car key like this before. It was big and flat and it went in to a slot in the car.
Everywhere we drove in Spain there as not a lot along the side of the road. Lots of open spaces.
They had these great sour candies at all of the Paradores. We grabbed them every chance we got.

We finally arrived at the Madrid Airport. After, I swear, walking five miles through the airport we got our rental car, got a scary letter about gangs hijacking rental cars and we headed out!
Day 1! To the airport! The first selfie of the trip on the way to the airport wearing my fabulous new sunglasses. They remind me of Dynasty.
