Time to stop driving for the day.

We stayed in Brownfield, TX at the Best Western Caprock Inn. It was nice. The lady at the front desk gave us cookies she baked. I had to call Mom and update my Facebook page, of course.

The fence outside cracked us up. It had a shadow couple holding hands, a couple of kids, playing and then a hunter, shooting a deer.

Packing up the car for day 2.

East of Plains, TX, we drove by these really cool sunflower fields.

They were huge fields! They went as far as you could see.

The heads were down, we think, because it rained so much the day before.
