Italy Trip
Rome P.7
![]() The Trevi Fountain! |
![]() It was built at the juncture of three roads (tre vie in Italian), which is how it got it's name. It's the termination of one of the ancient Roman aqueducts. |
![]() A close-up of Neptune on his shell chariot. |
![]() The whole fountain. |
![]() Bill in front of the fountain. |
![]() We were hungry so we stopped in a very small restaurant right next to the fountain. They had yummy gnocchi! |
![]() The restaurant was also a Gellateria. Yum! |
![]() We threw a coin in the fountain each to ensure we'd return to Rome. |
![]() If you throw two coins it means you will fall in love with a beautiful Roman girl (or handsome boy), and throwing three coins mean you will marry that girl or boy in Rome. We already had those two covered. |
![]() There were LOTS of people around the fountain. |
![]() Going back to the car. The place where we ate was on the right. |
![]() This looks like an aqeduct but it's actually a covered walkway for the Pope to leave the Vatican in case of an emergency. |
