Italy Trip

Tuscany P.58

We went in to a museum behind the Statue of David. You could get just inside of the garden. We would have had to buy tickets to get in to the rest.

The ceiling was beautiful.

I really liked this sculpture.

The river Arno.

Back across the Ponte Vecchio. We really liked how the jewelry stores looked like treasure chests when they were closed (far right on the picture).

We returned to the Pitti Palace where we parked and....there were no cars there. This is the picture of where our car used to be.

The police told us there was a function at the Pitti Palace. The people going inside were wearing formal clothes. As a security precaution, they towed all of the cars in front of the Pitti. They did have a sign but it was in Italian so we had no idea what it said.

The police wrote down where we needed to go and we gave the note to the cab driver. We were laughing so hard that our car had been towed that I'm sure the cab driver thought we were insane. He dropped us off at the impound.

Of course, no one at the impound spoke English. We even had to fill out a form that was all in Italian. Luckily, there was an Italian guy there getting his car out and we kind of copied off of his paper.

Back on the road!

A pretty house on the way back to our hotel.

That's our hotel at sunset.
