There was no way we were going to get back to our apartment to meet Paolo on time so we called him to meet us outside the Forum. We passed these along the way. The white area shows the size of the Roman Empire. In this one, it's just a white dot on Rome.

The last map shows the Roman Empire at it's largest.

We had to walk a bit to meet Paolo. He was parked across the street from the Colosseum.

We arrive in Ostia Antica.

Ostia was a harbor town and a colony of Rome.

Even though we had a map in English, all of the signs were in Italian so it was hard to tell what we were looking at sometimes.

I think this is part of the necropolis.
